I finished reading this book more than a week ago, but it took me some days to get my thoughts focused. In the end I liked Timeless, but I didn't love it nearly as much as I loved Soulless, Changeless and Blameless - and yes, I am a bit disappointed.Why?Well. There are still moments in which I can find Miss Carrigers hillarious humor, but they are limited to a small number. In Timeless so many things are happening, many of them quite beautiful things, but it is too much for a book with a steady page number. 'Cause of that, the characters leak development, Conall and Alexia are reduced to nothing more than supporting actors and - this is my greatest disappointment - still the reader does not explore the shared past of werewolfs, vampires and preternaturals. At the end of Blamesless I felt like a female Indiana Jones and was hoping for Heartless to find out more about their shared history. Of course I got diasappointed here, but could still hope for Timeless to unravel this mystery.I really love the series and will keep it as one of my favourites. But I am somehow glad it was finished now, before it could get worse, as Heartless and Timeless both lost their spirit and much of its atmosphere.Maybe, just maybe, the Sequel "Prudence" will give some answers to still existing questions.
